Why PTSD Symptoms Persist & How Hypnotherapy Can Help

PTSD can show up as intrusive memories, flashbacks, nightmares, emotional triggers, or a constant sense of being on edge.

Many people also experience anxiety, sleep disturbances, irritability, or avoidance of situations that remind them of past trauma.

These reactions occur when the brain continues to respond as though the traumatic event is still happening, keeping the nervous system in a prolonged fight, flight, or freeze state.

Post-traumatic stress is more common than many realise, affecting individuals who have experienced accidents, loss, abuse, medical trauma, or other distressing events.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful therapeutic approach that allows me to work with your subconscious mind, where emotional memories and automatic responses are stored.

Using gentle, evidence-based techniques, we work together to reduce emotional intensity, calm triggers, and help you regain a sense of safety, stability, and control.

Hypnotherapy Sessions: What to Expect

Free Initial Consultation

It all starts with a free 60-minute initial consultation (online), where I explain how hypnotherapy works and gather key information to better understand your challenges with PTSD.

At the end of your consultation, you’ll have the chance to ask me questions and book your first hypnotherapy session (in-person or online).

Hypnotherapy Sessions

Once you have booked your first session, you will receive my pre-treatment audio recording to help you prepare for your hypnotherapy session and reinforce the ongoing therapeutic work we will be doing together.

During the therapy, we won’t require you to relive distressing or traumatic experiences. Instead, we focus on building a sense of safety, stability, and the positive changes you want for yourself.

We will gently identify triggers that activate anxiety, emotional reactions, or heightened stress responses. Together, we’ll develop effective strategies to help you feel more grounded, calm, and in control.

On average, it takes 8-12 sessions to tackle PTSD depending on the condition intensity and how deeply rooted the issue is.
